French Politics aims to reflect these developments. This is an international, peer-reviewed journal of the highest quality, aimed at promoting contemporary and comparative research on French politics, policies, and society. In addition to focusing on France, the journal has also decided to publish papers on the politics of French speaking countries and regions. In addition, we welcome submissions regarding Quebec, French speaking Belgium and Switzerland, as well as French speaking African countries. We encourage submissions with a comparative perspective and independent papers on these countries and regions.

This journal focuses on the role of political systems, political behavior, public policy, political economy, international relations, public management, and public law. It particularly encourages and welcomes articles that attempt to incorporate cases from France and French speaking countries into broader comparisons and cross-border analyses, and use these cases for theoretical testing and construction. The journal also seeks contributions from various methodological perspectives, including institutional analysis (historical, empirical, sociological), behavioral research (survey data and time series analysis), rational choice (including game theory and rational choice institutionalism), political theory, political sociology, and postmodern methods (cultural theory).
